I think we are going to need websites that focus on gardening with kids, what types of vegetables to grow in Michigan, how to grow a garden, maybe some composting ideas? I like the idea of growing a vegetable soup garden. What do you guys think? We could grow the vegetables and then have a "festival" at the school where families can come and enjoy the vegetable soup that was grown by their children.
Here are three sites I will be reviewing: www.kidsgrowingstrong.org
www.kidsgardening.org
www.migarden.msu.edu
Thanks!
I think that sounds like a good idea! You've narrowed it down to an even more specific topic and I think that will help us. I noticed you put what to grow in Michigan, but could we also look into how to grow plants inside by imitating outside conditions of other areas. I don't know, just a thought.
ReplyDeleteI will review these sites:
www.gardening.org
www.gardeningwithkids.org
www.gardening-with-kids.com
Ok so the first one is actually www.garden.org, but I see it is actually a site that has the link to one of your sites, so I might switch that one to a different one, but as of right now I'm doing the second two and www.garden.org
ReplyDeleteYou cannot do the same ones as mine. We each have to do 3 different ones. Hopefully you see this before they are due. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are all different, the www.garden.org is just the main site that has the link to yours, but I am switching to doing:
ReplyDeletewww.greenhearted.org
www.gardeningwithkids.org
www.bhg.com/gardening/
Katie what ones are you doing?
Sorry girls, I have been slacking. I have been super busy this weekend so I am just starting this now :(! But I like both of your ideas and I think it can be beneficial to students to not only know about what grows in michigan but also what can grow in different climates. The three sites I am going to do are:
